Why does the description state "SATA III 6Gb/s" ?
"SATA III 6Gb/s" means the interface on your PC/Laptop the SSD drive is compatible and will work with. However, the drive is also backward compatible and will work with older interface such as SATA I or SATA II if your PC/laptop has such older interface. "6Gb/s", means "6144MB/sec, is the maximum speed of the I/O SATA III interface which it can transfer/deliver data.
